From Humble Beginnings to Industry Specialists

My name is Colin Lowe. In 1989, I founded Colowe Property Services — a small operation looking after hundreds of properties for letting agents and property management companies. The team was simple: me, my dad Harold and my brother Bob, with the occasional helping hand from friends. We kept everything in-house and took pride in every job.

By 1996, we had moved into the commercial sector — refurbishing bars, restaurants and takeaways, offering a complete range of trades. Our small but highly qualified team travelled the length of the country installing full commercial kitchens, gas mains, ducting, canopies, and working closely with our talented friends at D & J Potters in Leicester. What we didn't realise at the time was that this work would lay the foundation for everything that followed.

1989

Colowe Property Services Founded

Colin Lowe starts the business with his father Harold and brother Bob — managing, repairing and refurbishing domestic properties across Nottingham.

1996

Moving into Commercial Catering

The team expands into commercial refurbishments — bars, restaurants and takeaways — installing full kitchens, gas mains and ventilation systems across the UK.

2000s

Nottingham Catering Engineers is Born

As the commercial catering side grew, it was time to create a dedicated brand — solely focused on commercial kitchen installation, equipment servicing, breakdown repair and preventative maintenance.

33+ Years and Still Going Strong

Now a father-and-son team, we continue to serve the commercial catering industry with the same passion and dedication we started with, backed by decades of hands-on experience and a commitment to moving forward.
